Same paper, same scissors — but these ones move. Each kit hides a real mechanism inside: a cam, a gear pair, a connecting rod. Children build it, then turn the crank and watch the thing they made do something.

A lump on a spinning axle. As it turns it lifts and drops whatever rests on it — that is how the teh tarik man raises his cup.
Crank & slider
Turns round-and-round into back-and-forth. The same trick as the pistons in a car engine.
Gear pair
Two toothed wheels. A big one driving a small one spins fast; the other way round spins slow but strong.
Linkage
Stiff arms pinned together, so pushing one end swings the other. It is how the wau flaps both wings at once.
