We draw paper crafts in Malaysia.
It started with a nasi lemak plate drawn for one child on one rainy afternoon. She showed her class. Her teacher asked for thirty copies. Here we are.
Everything we sell is drawn by hand, built by hand at least a dozen times, and then handed to actual children to see where it falls apart. If a step confuses an eight-year-old, we redraw it. That is most of the job.
We make things from our own corner of the world on purpose. Children fold a plate of satay and recognise it, because it is the same one on the table at the shop downstairs. Craft you recognise is craft you want to finish.
The crafts are screen-free by design. Scissors, glue, a table, and an hour. What a child holds at the end is entirely theirs — a little wonky, and better for it.
